Position Overview
One of our Partners is seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician Assistant for night shift coverage in an acute care hospital setting.
This is a low-volume nocturnist role with no call requirements, offering a manageable patient census and consistent block scheduling—ideal for providers seeking flexible, predictable locum work.
Estimated Weekly Earnings: ~$5,200 – $6,240+
Assignment Highlights
- Night shifts only (5p–5a or 7p–7a)
- ~1 week per month coverage
- No call required
- 109-bed acute care hospital
- Average patient ratio: 1:10–15
- Adult patient population
- EMR: Epic (required)
- Collaborative care environment (APP + nursing support)

Job Responsibilities
- Provide overnight hospitalist coverage for admitted patients
- Manage admissions, cross-cover, and overnight issues
- Evaluate and treat a broad range of inpatient medical conditions
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics
- Coordinate care with nursing staff and specialists
- Ensure timely documentation in Epic
Skills & Experience
- Board Certified Physician Assistant
- Active New York license required (no licensing support)
- Minimum 2 years hospitalist experience
- Epic experience required
- Strong independent clinical decision-making skills
