Pay: $105.00-115.00 per hour
Assignment Length:
- Initial 13-week contract
- Potential to extend
Start Date: As soon as credentialed

Details:
- 0.6 FTE
- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 4.8 hours
- Wednesday - 9.6 hours
- Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine H&Ps for new admissions
- Assess and manage medical conditions, including acute complaints and chronic illnesses
- Complete Treatment Plan goals for medical care as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Consult with psychiatric providers regarding co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions
- Prescribe, monitor, and evaluate results of prescribed medications
- Order and interpret laboratory tests as required for medical care
- Provide substance withdrawal management as needed
- Accurately and appropriately document medical care provided
- EMR: EPIC
- Credentialing: 60-90 days
Requirements:
- Active Washington licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1-year Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience
Travel Benefits:
If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
Licenses & Certifications:
Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Washington
National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Experience:
While specific requirements may vary, most locum PA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions
Time management skills to efficiently manage a patient workload
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team
