We are currently seeking a qualified Hospitalist Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work within a comprehensive medical team, delivering high-quality patient care across a variety of specialties including General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Primary Care, and Oncology. The selected candidate will manage an average total inpatient census of 17-21 and handle 4-6 admissions during the day and 5-7 at night, without critical care responsibilities. This position starts on Dec 26, 2025, and is ideal for professionals adept at managing multiple patient needs and responding effectively in a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage an average daily patient load of 8-10
- Handle daily admissions ranging from 4-6 during daytime and 5-7 during nighttime
- Respond to hospital codes; consult on patient holds in the Emergency Department
- Collaborate with a diverse medical staff across various specialties
- Ensure comprehensive patient care delivery without critical care duties
- Utilize Epic EMR system for patient management
Additional Information
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina
- Recent hospitalist experience necessary
