The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for assessment of the patients, and in conjunction with the physician utilizes advanced clinical skills to render care to patients in acute and nursing home settings within and outside of the Hospital as directed by the Hospitalist.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Masters of Nursing.
- Licensure: Current license to practice as a professional Nurse Practitioner in Mississippi.
- Experience: Completion of education / licensure requirements.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Knowledge and ability to access data reflective of patients status
- Must be able to problem solve for patients with complicated disorders; to interpret physician instructions, provide care using standard practices and procedures
- Must possess strong and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of complex chronic disease management.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, email and Electronic Health Records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: One (1) year of experience in a Nurse Practitioner role.
