The Department of Hospitalist Service at Holyoke Medical Center are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established team.

Job Responsibilities

• Join a dynamic network of experienced physicians, specialists, and support staff who foster a culture of collaboration and mentorship backed by comprehensive support services.
• Perform a variety of duties such as history and physicals as well as providing care to assigned patients. Assesses, diagnoses, document findings, and write medical orders. Makes clinical decisions relative to patient management through collaboration with physicians.
• Ensure that consultation by sub-specialists to the Hospitalist Service are requested in a timely manner to optimize patient care and ensure that referrals to sub-specialists are consistent with outpatient attending M.D. preference if patient was referred by outpatient attending physician.
• No ICU Coverage or procedures required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of ARC accredited master’s degree Physician Assistant Program
• Experience: New Graduates encouraged to apply, 1-Year of Hospitalist experience (preferred)
• License/Registration: (Current or Eligible to apply for) Massachusetts Medical Licensure, DEA License, CDS License, and ACLS certification.
• Certification: PA-C (required)

Working Hours

• Shift: 7p-7a (7on/7off schedule) *Physician backup onsite
