Medcare Staffing is seeking an APP to work as a locums with their established hospitalist team. Hospital is an established multi-specialty group that has a passion for high quality of patient care. Must be comfortable with EKG interpretation and the interpretation of ABGs.

Coverage needed as soon as credentialed

currently – April (M-F) 10am-6pm

May – Sept 7 on/ 7 off

**note** Active NC license and NC DEA required (no exceptions)

Details:

• Hospital Medicine experience is required
• 1 year inpatient experience preferred
• Applicants must have a North Carolina DEA.
• Applicants must be certified ACLS
• New providers will need to arrive the day before their first shift for orientation.

Job Highlights:

• 19-bed critical access hospital with only general med-surg beds
• Clinical responsibilities include providing care for admitted patients and the evaluation for admission in the ER
• Average inpatient census: 12-15
• Average number of admissions per day: 5-6
• No ICU
• Provider will need to respond to codes
• Clinical responsibilities include admissions, rounding, inpatient care, and preparing patients for discharge
