Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Physician Assistant, Palliative Care.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with Family Medicine/Palliative Medicine Attending Physicians in a designated Inpatient Palliative Care Unit
Render direct patient care in all areas of the inpatient service including but not limited to obtaining patient history, performing physical examinations, ordering and evaluating appropriate laboratory, radiographic, and electrocardiographic studies when appropriate.
Make diagnostic assessments
Begin management plans
Communicate with patients and families
Assist in the medical management of patients admitted under hospice care
Participate in in-service training in Palliative Medicine
Rotating shift/ must be able to cover opposite shifts if needed.

Qualifications

Registered as a Physician’s Assistant in New York State
NCCPA certified
Oncology and/or Medicine inpatient experience preferred
