This position works alongside the attending physician’s to care for Oncology patients who are actively receiving treatments, or those admitted for a Cancer-related diagnosis. Will also work as a liaison with the IP hospitalist’s team at one of the premier academic medical centers in the nation.
The oncology unit is a 26-bed unit but the APP may go to other floors as a liaison.
• APP will not write Chemo orders at the present time
• Will be caring for oncology patients who are actively receiving some sort of treatment for Cancer
• The team will soon be covering the IP unit 12 hours out of the day ( the schedule is still being determined
• Nurse Practitioners must have an acute care certification and PA’s must have a master’s degree as a PA
