Hematology Oncology Physician Assistant - St. Louis, MO

A fantastic opportunity awaits an experienced Physician Assistant in the field of Hematology Oncology at a renowned academic hospital. This role is centered around inpatient care in the Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology & Cellular Therapy units. As part of a dynamic, medical team, you'll engage in both day and night shifts with an average patient census of 8–12 adults.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bone marrow biopsies and stem cell infusions/transfusions
• Handle admission, daily rounding, and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care
• Manage complications from transplants and cellular therapy, such as GVHD, CRS, and ICANS

Qualifications

• Board Certification required
• Active MO State License or willingness to obtain
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• 1.5–2 years of inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant APP experience

Working Hours

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Coverage varies monthly; schedule provided by facility

• Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Epic
• Strong communication skills for patient and family interaction
• Ability to manage and educate on complex transplant and cellular therapy care plans
• Adept at performing and assisting with critical procedures
