Seeking an experienced Oncology Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage for both outpatient clinic and limited inpatient rounding. This role supports oncology and benign hematology patients while collaborating with a large physician and APP team.
Job Responsibilities
Perform inpatient rounding during call weekends
Manage bone marrow transplant–related care
Order labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
Manage blood bank needs & prescribe medications
Participate in phone call rotation (first call)
Document care using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
Active SC license or willingness to obtain – Required
BLS – Required
DEA – Required
Must be able to support adult & geriatric populations
Must submit to all required job requisition locations
Working Hours
Outpatient clinic & inpatient call responsibilities
Call rotation: Every 5–6 weeks
Tues 4:30pm–8:00am
Fri 4:30pm–Mon 8:00am
Weekend: On-site rounding Saturday & Sunday
Skills
Bone marrow transplant care
Strong assessment & clinical decision-making
Ability to manage ~15 outpatient visits/day
Comfortable with ~20 inpatient rounding patients
Proficient in EPIC
