Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant - GYN Oncology
We are actively recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Gynecological Oncology Division! We have a state of the art cancer center and oncology program! Candidate will ultimately care for the gynecology/oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Medical Oncology experience is requirement!

The Advanced Practice Nurse is the point person for the Gynecologic Oncology division and is expected to actively participate in all aspects of patient care in the gynecologic oncology service including but not limited to office consultation and all related follow-up, infusion care, peri-operative care and management, inpatient care, consultations, conferences, research, and education. The position requires compassion and dedication to the patients and their needs. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care by planning, directing and coordinating the care of the Gynecologic Oncology Patients.
SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES
1. Office hours - The Nurse is expected to attend and care for patients during GYN/ONC office hours
2. Infusion Center Care - The Nurse is expected to attend and care for patients in the infusion center including writing chemotherapy and infusion orders and management of patients acute and long-term needs
3. Inpatient Rounding - consists of rounding on inpatients on the Gynecologic Oncology service twice daily (morning and afternoon) and report any concerning events / findings to the Director of Gynecologic Oncology or designee
4. Review and interpret test results with prompt follow up to both patients and attending physician when appropriate
5. Remaining available and flexible to attend to additional patient care responsibilities including consults, emergencies, and perioperative care.

Qualifications:
Current New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license
Clinical experience in the area of Oncology required
Certification in Chemotherapy/Biotherapy required
Certification in Oncology preferred
Women’s Health Experience preferred
