Laborist Physician (OB/GYN) Locum Opportunity

Laborist Physician

• September 2026 start with ongoing coverage
  • 8 - 10 shifts per month (days or nights)
  • Some holidays based on provider availability
• Inpatient
  • 12 hour shifts (8 – 8)
• GYN surgery not required
• Skills/Procedures: Surgical Procedures for Maternity Care and Delivery
• Required Experience:
  • OB: Low risk, High risk, Ultrasounds, Amniocentesis, Labor and Delivery: Routine, Complicated, VBAC’s, C sections, gynecology, Office and Minor Circumcisions.
• Case Log Requirements:
  • Must be able to provide case logs of natural and c-section deliveries over the past 12 - 24 months.
    • Demonstrated current competence and evidence of fifty (50) patients with the management of Obstetric and/or Gynecologic problems from an accredited facility and fifty (50) deliveries to include ten (10) C-sections in the past 12 months and the performance of twenty-five (25) gynecological surgical procedures (to include at least five [5] major abdominal cases), reflective of the scope of privileges requested in the past 24 months or successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency or clinical fellowship within the past 12 months.
• Physicians with a clean medical malpractice background will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience
• Board Certified
• Residency w/fellowship in maternal/fetal medicine preferred but not required
• Current Active Kentucky Medical License or Active Compact License
• BLS, NRP, ATLS, DEA
• Physicians with a clean malpractice history will be given priority
• Physicians with behavioral backgrounds will not be accepted
