The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant with Surgical Experience to join to join our extensive, well-established, physician-led, and managed gynecologic oncology group practice in Fort Worth/Arlington, TX.

The practice offers Hematology/Medical Oncology, Breast Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Clinical Trials & Research Programs.

About the Role

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be responsible for providing medical services including clinic duties, first assist, hospital rounds, some after hours call, assessment and management of gynecologic oncology and gynecologic surgical patients in the clinic and hospital following established standards and practices. Orders appropriate laboratory and interprets and integrates data to determine therapeutic plan. Instructs patient/family regarding medications and treatments. Collaborates with physicians in management of patient medical needs. Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and electronic records. Posts tests and examination results. Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation. Maintains government regulated HIPAA guidelines.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Must be licensed with Texas Medical Board as a Physician Assistant.
  • Must be energetic, confident, flexible, motivated and compassionate.
  • Must be able to communicate with patients, peers, physicians and the general public.
  • Must have telephone communication and etiquette skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills, including word processing, keyboarding and ability to learn computerized scheduling and charting system.
  • Must have professional appearance.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Must be a team player.
