We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing as a Physician Assistant (PA) for our Hospitalist team who is looking for work life balance with (7) days on and (7) days off. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient care within a hospital setting, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient treatment. The APP will be responsible for patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and management of medical conditions, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical treatment protocols, experience with electronic health records (EHR), and the ability to interpret diagnostic tests to support clinical decision-making. GI experience a plus.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine medical needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations, including interpreting diagnostic tests and laboratory results to inform patient care.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with established guidelines and collaborate with healthcare team members on treatment strategies.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, documenting patient encounters, treatments, and follow-up plans accurately.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide ongoing monitoring of hospitalized patients, adjusting treatments as necessary based on clinical findings and test results.
• Participate in hospital rounds, contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions, and support quality improvement initiatives related to inpatient care.
• FT- work 26 weeks (7) days per week out of the year
• No call responsibility in evening
Qualifications
• Prior experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), preferably in a hospitalist or inpatient setting. GI exp a plus
• Proven ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and interpret diagnostic tests effectively.
• Strong knowledge of medical treatments, prescribing practices, and clinical protocols within a hospital environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and order entry.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and patient interactions.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
