Job description
We are looking for a professional Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive, high quality, patient centered, cost effective GI healthcare to our patients in collaboration with our team of 9 Gastroenterologist and 6 Nurse Practitioners. FT is 4.5 days per week. Candidates with prior experience or special interest in gastroenterology are preferred.

Job Responsibilities
• Demonstrates a high degree of GI/general medical knowledge and exhibits strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills and knowledge to assess the needs of patients.
• Ability to develop comprehensive plan of treatment for assigned patients based on patient needs, standards of care, clinical knowledge and expected patient outcomes
• Demonstrates ability to set goals, assign priorities, anticipate problems, establish limits and achieve quality results
• Written documentation is accurate, thorough, objective and communicated as appropriate and necessary to supervising physicians
Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant Program
• 2-3 years prior practitioner experience (Gastroenterology preferred)
• Licensure in the State of Virginia
• ACLS Certification
