Responsibilities for the Interventional Radiology NP/PA role:
- Helping the radiology team with explaining the procedure to patients as part of their treatment plan, gathering necessary information from patients, communicating with radiology staff about patients and procedures
- Monitoring patient progress, educating patients about after-care and future steps, and writing prescriptions, if necessary.
- Image guided procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, superficial drainages and biopsies, chest tube placement, central venous access, and other tube/catheter management
Minimum Requirements for the Interventional Radiology NP/PA role:
- Minimum of one year of experience as an NP/PA with small procedures
- High level of interest in Interventional Radiology
- Current or Eligible to obtain a Georgia license
