USGP is seeking an Aviation Medical Physician Assistant at Barksdale AFB - Bossier City, LA. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6am - 6pm. Work schedules are communicated 3 months in advance.

Qualifications:

• Be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or it predecessors as long as the license has been maintained uninterrupted.
• Board certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Possess a valid unrestricted Physician Assistant License in at least one state, territory or commonwealth of the United States
• One (1) year of experience required.
• Must have BLS certification.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a security investigation

• Provide a full range of Physician Assistant services in primary and specialty medical care.
• Technically direct and provide care for a variety of diseases and types of injuries.
• Promote preventative care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
• Prescribe in accordance with approved treatment protocols and the Pharmacy Therapeutics Committee approved medications and immunizations.
