Our client in California is seeking assistance in filling vital positions to support their regional healthcare system. Individuals will be designated to the Alternative Care Site Response team, which is designed to provide care for less sick patients to allow hospitals to focus their resources on those with the greatest need.

Examples of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Secures a comprehensive health history of the patient.

2. Performs physical examinations to determine state of the patient's health within the fields of training and certification; identifies abnormal conditions and develops and implements treatment plans using established protocol within a specified field of training and certification.

3. Records findings, assessment, treatment plan, follow up examinations, and subsequent evaluations.

4. Manages a patient caseload in consultation with the physician or according to written protocols.

5. Evaluates patient needs for other medical, health, or social services and makes referrals to appropriate community resources.

6. Counsels patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention within a specified area(s) of training and certification.

7. Holds clinics at various sites throughout the county.

8. Cooperates with other agencies in planning for the patient's continuity of care.

9. Participates in community organizations to promote medical/health care services and explain health practitioner concepts.

10. Performs routine laboratory tests and administers treatments within a specified area of training and certification.

11. Provides vacation and temporary relief as required.

Hours of Assignment: 12-hour shifts/7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am

Minimum Requirements

License/Certificate: Applicants must possess all of the following licenses/certifications.

Physician Assistant certification
DEA registration number
Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
AND

Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Physician's Assistant.
