Key Responsibilities — Ophthalmology Administrative Assistant / Medical Office Assistant

- Obtain referral waiver forms and enter managed care referrals
- Acknowledge and assist patients arriving to the ophthalmology department; provide general patient information

- Scan and maintain documents in the electronic health record (EHR)/practice management system
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications — Medical Administrative / Practice Assistant
- High school diploma required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting (ophthalmology experience preferred)
- Practice Assistant certification preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work on-site in Chestnut Hill, MA (zip code 02467)
- Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months to be eligible
- Experience with scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) or practice management software preferred
