Location: Aurora, CO
Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-hour shifts per week
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 7 days per week
Compensation: $60–$80/hour (based on experience) + bonus
Benefits: Full benefits package available

Position Overview

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our full-time clinical team in Aurora, Colorado.

This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who enjoy autonomy, variety, and a fast-paced urgent care environment, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Minimum 1 year of prior clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care is required for this role.

NextCare clinicians benefit from predictable scheduling, supportive clinical leadership, and collaborative clinic teams. Our full-time schedules are designed so clinicians are off more days than they work, while still practicing engaging and meaningful medicine.

Providers treat a broad patient population with generally low to moderate acuity conditions, allowing clinicians to utilize a wide range of diagnostic and procedural skills without inpatient responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care required
• Board certification required
PA: NCCPA certification
NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
