Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $60–$80/hour (based on experience) + bonus
Benefits: Full benefits package available

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Temple, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a fast-paced urgent care setting while enjoying flexible scheduling and strong clinical support.

Position Highlights

  • Flexible scheduling with monthly schedules released in advance

  • Broad urgent care case mix including acute illness, injury care, and occupational health

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging

  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care

  • Provide clear treatment plans and discharge instructions

  • Document visits accurately in the electronic health record

  • Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license

  • Board certification required (NCCPA for PAs; ANCC or AANP for NPs – FNP preferred)

  • DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start

  • Ability to treat patients of all ages

  • BLS certification

  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays

  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Experience

  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience

  • Strong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, and wound care

  • Experience with initial x-ray interpretation before radiology over-read
