Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $60–$80/hour (based on experience) + bonus

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Temple, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a fast-paced urgent care setting while enjoying flexible scheduling and strong clinical support.

Position Highlights

Broad urgent care case mix including acute illness, injury care, and occupational health

Responsibilities
-
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
-
Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging
-
Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
-
Provide clear treatment plans and discharge instructions
-
Document visits accurately in the electronic health record

Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks
Qualifications
-
Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
-
Board certification required (NCCPA for PAs; ANCC or AANP for NPs – FNP preferred)

DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start

Ability to treat patients of all ages

BLS certification
-
Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays

DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
Preferred Experience
-
Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
-
Strong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, and wound care
-
Experience with initial x-ray interpretation before radiology over-read
