Compensation: $60–$80/hour + bonus potential
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Victoria, Texas in a part-time float role. This position is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible scheduling while practicing in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Providers will treat patients of all ages and support clinic coverage across the Victoria area clinics. Our teams are supported by experienced clinical staff, established care protocols, and accessible medical leadership.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages

Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries

Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care

Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs and imaging

Provide clear treatment plans and discharge instructions

Document visits accurately in the EHR

Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks
Float Coverage

Provide coverage across NextCare clinics in the Victoria market

Support schedule gaps, PTO coverage, and volume changes
-
Travel between nearby clinics as needed
Qualifications
-
Active Texas NP or PA license
-
Board certification (FNP preferred for NPs; NCCPA required for PAs)

Active DEA or ability to obtain prior to start

Comfortable treating patients of all ages

1+ year of urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience preferred

Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
