Job Overview – Physician Assistant (Primary Care)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Physician Assistant (Primary Care) in Boston, MA for our client, supporting comprehensive adult primary care services within an outpatient clinical setting. In this role, you will provide preventative care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based patient care. You will utilize electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation tools to support accurate patient records, care coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities as the Physician Assistant (Primary Care):
- Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct detailed patient evaluations including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments for adult patient populations.
- Diagnosis & Treatment Management: Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease while developing individualized treatment plans.
- Medication & Therapy Management: Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle interventions in accordance with state regulations and clinical best practices.
- Preventive Care & Patient Education: Provide patient education on wellness strategies, preventive care, and chronic disease management to support long-term patient health.
- Diagnostic Testing & Clinical Interpretation: Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Licensure: Active Massachusetts Physician Assistant license required with current prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
- Experience: 2+ years of outpatient primary care or adult-focused clinical experience required.
- Technical Skills: Experience using electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation tools required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of primary care clinical guidelines, adult medicine, preventive care practices, and chronic disease management.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient communication skills with the ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
