Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Care
Location: Georgetown, TX
Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule:
Three 12-hour shifts per week
Clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week

Compensation:
$60–$80/hour (based on experience) + bonus

Position Overview

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Georgetown, Texas.

This position is ideal for clinicians who enjoy practicing in a fast-paced urgent care environment with strong clinical support, flexible scheduling, and a healthy work-life balance.

Providers at NextCare work in a collaborative setting with experienced clinical teams and accessible medical leadership while caring for a broad patient population with primarily low-acuity presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging

  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management

  • Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly to patients

  • Document patient care in the EHR accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks

  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and guidelines

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

  • PA: NCCPA certification

  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)

  • Active DEA license or ability to obtain

  • Ability to treat patients of all ages

  • BLS certification required

  • Comfortable working occasional weekends and holidays

  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Experience

  • Urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience

  • Procedural skills including suturing, splinting, wound care

  • Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
