Position Summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Spring, TX clinic on a part-time basis.

This role requires a minimum commitment of four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, including occasional weekends and holidays based on clinic needs. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, adaptable, and comfortable caring for patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care and/or occupational health setting

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with NextCare’s values

• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions clearly

• Document care accurately and efficiently in the EHR

• Ensure appropriate coding and billing for services rendered

• Maintain productivity consistent with peers and industry benchmarks

• Follow up on patient care as clinically indicated

• Practice medicine ethically, legally, and professionally

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas PA or NP license

• Active DEA registration

• PA: NCCPA certification

• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

• Bachelor’s degree (PA) or Master’s degree (NP)

• Active BLS certification

• Ability to treat patients of all ages

• EHR proficiency

• Availability for a minimum of four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, including occasional weekends and holidays

• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided at no cost)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiologist over-read

• Suturing and wound care experience

• Prior urgent care, emergency department fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience
