Neurologic Surgery Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Location: Rochester, MN

Position Overview
This position joins a large, multidisciplinary neurologic surgery team providing care to both pediatric and adult patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. The Advanced Practice Provider functions with a high level of autonomy and collaborates closely with surgeons, residents, and other APPs to manage the full continuum of neurosurgical care. This role does not include operative first assist responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage neurosurgical patients using protocol-driven treatment strategies
* Provide inpatient and outpatient care within full scope of practice
* Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
* Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as appropriate
* Collaborate with surgeons, residents, APPs, and nursing staff
* Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination
* Deliver patient and family education related to neurosurgical conditions

Compensation & Benefits
* Salary range: $117,520 – $163,987 annually, based on education and experience
* CME allowance of $4,400 annually

Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
* Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
* Active Minnesota RN and APRN license
* Appropriate NP board certification
Physician Assistant
* Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
* NCCPA certification
* Active Minnesota PA license
Additional Qualifications
* Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, complex clinical environment
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
* Experience in neurology or neurosurgery preferred but not required
