Physician Assistant (PA) - Mobile Unit

Location: Arizona (Mobile Unit - community events, farms, rural areas)

Position Summary

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive primary care services in a mobile healthcare setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages through health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and referral. The position requires flexibility, independence, and a strong commitment to serving diverse and underserved communities.

Assignments may range from routine to complex and are performed with minimal supervision, in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions

  • Perform preventive care, health screenings, and patient education

  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care

  • Deliver care in mobile settings including community events, farms, and rural locations

  • Adhere to clinical protocols, policies, and quality standards

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Schedule: Varies weekly based on mobile unit events

  • Default Schedule: Clinic hours when no events are scheduled

  • Additional Notes: Late evenings may be required on event days

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

  • Current and valid Arizona RN License (for NPs)

  • Current and valid Arizona Advanced Practice License (for NPs)

  • Nurse Practitioner certification issued by the Arizona Board of Nursing (for NPs)

  • Current Arizona PA license (for Physician Assistants)

  • Valid DEA license

  • Current BLS certification

  • CPR and AED certification for Healthcare Professionals (AHA or Red Cross compliant)

  • Experience treating adults with acute and chronic medical conditions

  • Strong understanding of clinical methods and techniques

  • Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience

  • Effective communication skills with patients, staff, and the public

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License

  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (Arizona Department of Public Safety)

  • Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations
