Job description
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant to provide high-quality care to urgent care patients at our Golden, Colorado clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA looking for flexible scheduling in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Position Highlights

Minimum of 4 shifts per month

Shifts typically 10–12 hours

Occasional weekends and holidays required (frequency varies by clinic needs)

Assigned a home clinic in Golden, CO
-
Occasional floating to nearby NextCare clinics may be required
Responsibilities
-
Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with urgent care best practices
-
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
-
Manage patients from intake through discharge
-
Accurately document care in the EHR
-
Ensure appropriate coding and billing
-
Maintain productivity and professionalism consistent with industry standards
Requirements
-
Active, unrestricted Colorado PA license
-
Active DEA
-
NCCPA certification
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
-
Active BLS certification
-
Comfortable treating patients of all ages
-
Proficient with EHR systems
-
DOT certification may be required (training provided if needed)
Highly Preferred
-
At least 1 year of urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience
-
Comfort with initial X-ray interpretation
-
Strong procedural skills (suturing, minor procedures)
-
Ability to practice independently in a fast-paced setting
Compensation
Hourly rate range: $60–$80, commensurate with experience, credentials, and market factors.
