NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our full-time urgent care team in Victoria, Texas. This role is ideal for clinicians who are comfortable working independently in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment and caring for patients across the lifespan.

Practice Details

  • Clinic Location: 3002 Sam Houston Dr, Victoria, TX 77904

  • Clinic Hours:

    • Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    • Sat–Sun: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Setting: Walk-in urgent care

  • Patient Population: Infant to geriatric

Position Highlights

  • Full-time schedule

  • High-autonomy urgent care practice

  • Established clinical workflows and operational support

  • Treat a broad mix of urgent care cases and occupational health visits

  • Perform procedures including suturing and initial x-ray interpretation

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients of all ages

  • Manage patient volume efficiently while maintaining quality care

  • Perform urgent care procedures and interpret diagnostics

  • Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up plans

  • Document care accurately in the EHR

  • Code and bill appropriately for services rendered

  • Practice in accordance with NextCare clinical standards and policies

Required Qualifications

  • Prior urgent care experience (required)

  • Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license

  • Active DEA (or ability to obtain)

  • PA: NCCPA certification

  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

  • Comfortable treating all age groups independently

  • Active BLS certification

  • EHR proficiency

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided)

Preferred Experience

  • Multiple years of urgent care or ED fast-track experience

  • Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)

  • Initial x-ray interpretation experience
