An established Immediate Care Clinic in Cartersville, Georgia is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy outpatient setting focused on minor acute care and primary care services. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider seeking consistent weekday hours, no weekends, and a manageable patient mix.
Position Highlights
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Setting: Immediate Care / Outpatient Clinic
- No weekends | No overnight shifts
- Start: Immediate need
Scope of Practice
The Physician Assistant will provide evaluation and treatment for common acute and primary care conditions, including:
- Coughs, colds, flu, and upper respiratory infections
- Minor sprains, strains, and musculoskeletal injuries
- Minor cuts, burns, and rashes
- Basic urgent care and primary care complaints
- Preventive care and patient education as appropriate
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Order and interpret basic diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state guidelines
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with clinical staff
Qualifications
- Current Georgia Physician Assistant license
- NCCPA certification preferred
- Experience in urgent care, immediate care, family medicine, or primary care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach
- DEA
- BLS
