The Assistant Vice President of Consumer Experience (AVP CX) leads the development and implementation of strategies, programs and initiatives that enhance the relationship between Intermountain Health and its consumers. The CX team is responsible for designing, measuring and improving the consumer experience, in collaboration with operational leaders, patient experience, Clinical Excellence, and Digital Technology Services.The CX leader must have a strong knowledge of consumer and healthcare trends, as well as Intermountain's strategy. The CX leader must also be able to build effective relationships, communicate persuasively, and inspire and motivate employees and caregivers throughout Intermountain.
Essential Functions
- Develop a vision for consumer experience and exemplify the organization's culture while fostering strong, productive consumer relationships.
- Partner with the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and relevant teams in all aspects of consumer experience strategy, development, operations, and planning to bring together insights from all teams to drive impact for CX.
- Build and lead high-performance teams focused on market access and new product planning, establishing metrics for defining, measuring, and tracking relationships with consumers.
- Influence cross-company agreement on delivering the greatest value to consumers by identifying and defining what customers value.
- Create a common language and definitions for the consumer experience to ensure a unified approach across the organization.
- Educate and influence the organization on a holistic, inclusive view of consumer experience, encompassing both internal and external perspectives.
- Engage in cross-industry networking and research to bring innovative ideas from non-healthcare fields to the organization.
- Identify operational accountabilities and develop cross-functional relationships to support consumer experience initiatives.
- Foster unity across the organization and instill a culture of collaboration and togetherness.
- Champion change initiatives, providing a framework and plans for the ongoing development of the impact of the consumer experience team.

Compensation and Location
- This is an exempt, full-time position with a base pay range of $224,000-$273,000 (depending on experience).
- The role is hybrid and will require travel to areas where Intermountain conducts business. Candidates who live in, or are willing to relocate to, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana and are within a reasonable commuting distance to an Intermountain Health care site are preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in leading consumer experience efforts, implementing operational strategies and measuring outcomes, with a focus on integrated healthcare systems and managed care environment.
- Experience implementing new technologies to advance consumer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience in a large and complex integrated delivery network.
- Experience in a role with growing a consumer business, driving optimal performance and delivering results.
Additional Information
- In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition,, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.

Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need for the employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors require the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
