Job description We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 7-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa, starting Jan 22, 2026. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts, providing care in a rural health clinic that serves a diverse patient population.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; clinic open 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8 AM start times acceptable)

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide full-scope family medicine care to patients in a rural health clinic setting
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions for patients across the lifespan
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including dental, vision, mental health, and pharmacy professionals
  • Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic tests as appropriate
  • Coordinate care with specialists in orthopedics, ophthalmology, and women’s health
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and standards of care

Additional Information
  • Active Iowa license required
  • Experience in Emergency Room and Family Practice settings strongly preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
