Job description
North Carolina Family Practice Clinic seeking a Locum Family Medicine PA-C to provide maternity leave coverage within a multi-specialty group (Adult, Pediatrics, Allergy, and Urgent Care).
Excellent opportunity to serve a diverse, largely Medicaid population in a supportive outpatient setting!
- Assignment duration: Jan 2026 - May 2026
- Start Ideally January (Maternity Due Date in Feb)
- Dedicated MA support; providers complete charts throughout the day.
- Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per/week. Open to 4 day/week. This is an 8-hour workday w/mid-day break
- PPD: 22 - 24 patients (high rate of no-shows)
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to a diverse, multilingual community environment.
- Outpatient family medicine, preventive care, acute and chronic disease management, pediatrics, hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, flu/cold care, and well-child visits.
Population: Largely Medicaid, large Hispanic population (translation support available).
EMR: NextGen (newest version)
Job Responsibilities
Strong communication skills and adaptability to a diverse, multilingual community environment.
Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine services for patients of all ages (pediatrics through geriatrics).
Manage acute and chronic conditions and perform preventive care visits.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across adult medicine, pediatrics, allergy, and urgent care.
Qualifications
Certified - PA
Experience with adult and pediatric populations required.
Clean malpractice history required.
Experience serving Medicaid or underserved populations preferred.
Spanish bilingual or comfortable working with interpreters is a plus.
Working Hours
Clinic hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a mid-day break
Last morning appointment at 11:30; last afternoon appointment at 4:15
Panel: largely Medicaid with higher no-show rate; 30 patients booked daily to achieve 22–24 seen per day
MA support; providers complete charts throughout the day
