TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Primary Care) in Pittsburgh, PA with our client. In this outpatient role, you’ll provide primary care to adult patients, focusing on substance use and behavioral health management. Working with a collaborative team of providers, you’ll deliver compassionate, high-quality care and maintain accurate documentation in Tebra EMR. Responsibilities as the Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive histories, physical exams, and evaluate symptoms and risk factors.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Order diagnostics, interpret results, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor medications in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Procedural Care: Perform minor in-office procedures within the scope of practice.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on treatment adherence, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with an advanced degree.
- Licensure & Certification: Current, valid Pennsylvania license as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C); prescriptive authority and active DEA registration required.
- Experience: Prior medical experience (RN background) or experienced providers with a primary care or behavioral health focus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Tebra or similar platforms.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of primary care, adult medicine, and substance use treatment best practices.
- Skills & Attributes: Empathetic, detail-oriented professional with strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
