We are seeking an experienced Gynecological Oncology Physician Assistant for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins with orientation on Jan 2, 2026, followed by clinical work starting Jan 5, 2026. The position features day shifts, Monday through Friday, typically from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with a four-shift-per-week schedule. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in chemotherapy and biotherapy administration and a strong background in women's health and gynecologic oncology.

Job Details

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, four shifts per week, 08:00-18:00
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations, including pelvic exams
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing and therapeutic modalities within the specialty
- Administer and prescribe chemotherapy and biotherapy per documented training and experience (at least 10 administrations in the past 12 months)
- Implement therapeutic interventions for specific gynecologic oncology conditions
- Conduct arterial puncture, blood gas sampling, and venous punctures
- Debride and provide care for superficial wounds and minor surgical procedures
- Perform incision and drainage of superficial abscesses
- Insert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubes
- Manage urinary bladder catheterizations and foley catheter insertions
- Assess and manage intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum patients in both complicated and uncomplicated situations
- Conduct colposcopies with or without biopsies
- Evaluate and treat common vaginal infections
- Interpret fetal heart monitor tracings
- Insert and remove intrauterine devices (IUDs) and subcutaneous birth control devices
- Initiate pharmacologic therapy for gynecologic and obstetric health needs
- Perform endometrial, vaginal, and vulvar biopsies
- Screen and refer patients for additional health problems, including high-risk pregnancies and suspected abuse
Additional Information
- Current New York PA license required
- Must demonstrate competence in chemotherapy/biotherapy administration within the past 12 months
- Required certifications: ARC-PA, ACLS, BCLS
- Board certifications: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC); Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC); Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC); Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
