We are seeking a skilled Wound Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Connecticut, starting Nov 24, 2025, for a 10-week term. This mobile position involves traveling to patient locations and working 2-4 days per week, typically from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Candidates should have recent sharp or surgical debridement experience and be able to provide compassionate care in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Travel to patient locations within Connecticut to provide wound care services
  • Perform sharp and surgical debridement, including administration of Lidocaine
  • Manage a patient load of 6-7 visits per day
  • Coordinate weekly schedule with a scheduler; travel times typically range from 10 to 30 minutes, with rare instances up to 90 minutes
  • Maintain timely and accurate charting, including photo documentation using an iPad, with completion required by end of day
  • Demonstrate excellent bedside manner and effective communication with patients
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and documentation standards

Additional Information

  • Must have a valid Connecticut Physician Assistant license
  • Required board certification: Wound Care
  • Several years of relevant clinical experience required, with recent experience (within the last 3-6 months) in sharp and surgical debridement
  • Additional certifications are a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability for a mobile work environment
