Job description Job Overview – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Outpatient Clinic):
Compensation: $73.33/hour
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the potential to work 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (flexible hours)


Join our client’s outpatient clinic as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Pittsburgh, PA, providing care to adult patients with a focus on substance use treatment. You will conduct assessments, manage acute and chronic conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team using the Tebra EMR system. This opportunity is open to both experienced providers and new graduates with prior RN or medical experience.

Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:
  • Patient Assessment: Perform patient histories, physical exams, and evaluate presenting conditions and risk factors.
  • Diagnosis & Treatment: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, create treatment plans, and manage both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Medication & Procedures: Prescribe medications, perform minor in-office procedures, and provide wound care in compliance with Pennsylvania regulations.
  • Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on substance use treatment, disease management, and preventive health strategies.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work with physicians and staff to ensure continuity of care and maintain accurate records in the Tebra EMR system.
Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:
  • Education: Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
  • Licensure & Certification: Active Pennsylvania CRNP or PA-C license with prescriptive authority, valid DEA registration, and current BLS certification required.
  • Experience: Clinical experience strongly preferred; RN background or comparable healthcare experience ideal.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems required; Tebra experience preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
