VA LICENSE AND DEA is REQUIRED
Endoscopic vein harvesting proficient in EVH (Maquet or Terumo) and have a minimum of 3-5 years of CTS operative experience.
OR first assist on cardiac and thoracic surgery cases to include: CABG, valves, heart transplant, aortic dissections, thoracotomies, ECMO cannulation, MCS implantation.
Practice/Team Expectations:
See pre-op patients and complete H&P; enter orders and patient care notes, round on CTS patients in CSICU post-operatively and entering rounding notes as appropriate, perform bedside procedures as needed; be readily available for urgent CTS needs on IMCU floors (MRTs);
provide open communication and status updates to surgeons and intensivist teams
OR First Assist, endoscopic vein harvest, first assist, chest closure, suturing, enter postoperative orders.
Case mix includes: CABG, valves, heart transplants, Ao dissections, lungs, MCS, TAVR.
