This will be a Job Share working Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Working hours are 8am-4:30pm.

Provides administrative support related to the new hire pre-employment screening process. Assures that new hire processes are followed and consistently administered in compliance with Lee Health policies, procedures and governmental regulations (i.e., drug screens, criminal background checks, level I & II screening, licensure verification, education verification, DMV, I-9 verification). Physically examines the documents presented by the new hire establishing identity and employment eligibility and signs Section 2 Employer Review and Verification section of the Form I-9. Continuously looks at ways to achieve customer service excellence and process improvement. Responsible for handling pending activities and tasks assigned to pre-boarding function including transmitting new hire information to vendor for criminal background, reference checks, etc. Performs daily status reviews and marks activities in applicant tracking system when cleared. Collects all new hire paperwork, takes picture for ID badge and reviews employee file for completeness prior to uploading into the employee file in the OnBase system. Notifies respective Recruiter(s) if new hire is not cleared or there is an issue with background check, or eligibility to work. Clearly communicates next steps in the process to new hires.

Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum one-year administrative/clerical experience; previous Human Resource experience preferred.

License: N/A

Microsoft Office, computer skills, excellent communication skills/interpersonal skills, customer service, attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
