We are hiring experienced Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioners /Physician Assistants in a level one trauma center in Downtown Chicago, Illinois!
This are Cardiac Surgery Full Continuum of Care, Cardiothoracic OR and Critical Care position in the ICU and Step Down Care in a very high acuity Heart Surgery team! The candidate will rotate one month in the Operating Room and one month in the ICU/Step Down. Candidate would work a combination of 4 10s and 3 12s!
Each individual provides care for: cardiac surgery patients that underwent various cardiac surgery procedures, including various versions of mechanical circulatory support.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Acute care certification required for APRNs
- Eligible Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board. Once licensed may apply for a controlled substance license and DEA number OR Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program/Current license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois. - Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation – BLS, issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one (1) year APP experience in Cardiac Surgery Operating Room and ICU duties!
