SCHEDULE / OPEN NEEDS:

· FT, 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., rotating, weekends and holidays with additional on call responsibilities.

DESCRIPTION:

· Provide coverage for inpatient floors and consult patients for specialties of General surgery,

Vascular, Plastics, Trauma, Thoracic, etc.

· Provides a broad range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services including

initial assessment and ongoing medical care

· Takes medical histories, examines and treats patients/offenders, orders and interprets laboratory

tests and x- rays; formulating diagnoses and treatment plans and prescribing medications

and monitoring responses to medications and adjusting accordingly

REQUIRED:

· CT state license; active, unrestricted

· DEA

· ACLS Preferred

· NCCPA Certification

· Preferred- Two or more years of work experience as a Physician Assistant in General Surgery
