Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Family Practice Physician Assistant at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, GA. This position offers:

Job Description:

  • Full time opportunity, Monday through Friday
  • 8 hour days, 40 hours per week
  • Outpatient Clinic

Job Duties include but not limited to:

  • Provide a full range of outcome-based Physician Assistant services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).

  • Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Physician Assistant Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling

Job Requirements:

The Physician Assistant will have the following requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree. Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

  • Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA).

  • Any State License is acceptable.
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in a primary care setting within the last 24months.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
