Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Administrative Assistant- Medical Readiness at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

SUMMARY:

Serves as program assistant performing data collection, computation, interpretation, and
presentation. Provides office assistance by performing various clerical and administrative duties such as developing presentations performing office automation duties such as word processing, email correspondence, managing suspense’s, creating briefing charts, and development/tabulation of spreadsheets.

This contract position offers:

  • Full Time Hours Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • College graduate-level writing and communication skills.
  • Shall have the knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Access, and
    PowerPoint.
  • Shall have knowledge of SPSS or comparable statistics software package.
  • Ability to do web research and perform web operations.
  • Must have current BLS/AED training certificate. (THIS IS JTF REQUIREMENT FOR ANYONE WORKING IN THE HOSPITAL OR CLINIC).
  • Shall have experience in interpreting medical terminology, anatomy and physiology,
    pharmacology, disease processes and treatment modalities to the extent necessary for successful completion of performance requirements.
  • Shall have the ability to understand, analyze, and interpret medical information.
  • Shall have experience in data collection techniques and medical data collection codes.
  • Shall have experience in verifying data and correcting errors.
  • Shall have the ability to work independently.
  • Shall be knowledgeable of equipment and supply terminology and skill sufficient to identify and use necessary equipment and supplies properly.
  • Be a U.S citizen.
  • Possess a minimum of one-year professional experience within the preceding three
    years working as an Administrative Assistant.
