Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an exciting potential opportunity for a civilian Chiropractic Assistant at Eglin Air Force Base located in Fort Walton Beach, FL

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree/Education- Must have Certification; Graduated from a Chiropractic Assistant program or a Physical Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or has a minimum of three years of experience as a chiropractic aide.
• Licensure: A current, valid State license as a chiropractic assistant or physical therapy assistant in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. (License is required unless the state uses certification or registration in lieu of licensure as provided by the American Physical Therapy Association at [Register to View] ).
• BLS through American Heart Association

Duties:

• Prepare treatment areas for incoming patients.
• Administer complex, specialized supportive physiotherapy treatment in areas such as ultrasound, electrotherapy, and therapeutic hot/cold and therapeutic exercise in support of chiropractic treatments in the clinic in a safe and medically accepted manner as directed by the supervisor.
• Instruct and supervise patient exercise programs.
• Instruct patients regarding nutrition, ergonomics, proper posture, stretches and exercises, and locations of further testing/procedures.
• Attend clinic or hospital in-services and required training and meetings
• Manage clinic appointment schedule for chiropractor.
• Assist with clinic administrative activities when assigned by the chiropractor.
• Answer telephone and direct patient inquiries appropriately.
• Request office supplies through the Physical Medicine Flight Supply Custodian. Monitors orders to ensure timely receipt of items requested.
• Manage appointment schedule for chiropractors. Assist the chiropractor with appointment templates and manage the clinic appointment system. Must close out the automated clinic support systems at the end of each clinic day.
