Seeking an APP to join Endocrinology team in Wenatchee, WA.

1. Provide specialized health care to patients. Examination, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries. Refers to physician as needed. Writes prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.

2. Staff outpatient endocrinology clinics; focusing primarily on the management of patients with diabetes mellitus, particularly those utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring devices

3. Write prescriptions and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment

4. Provide comprehensive history and physical examinations for new endocrinology patients

5. Become proficient in the use, functions, adjustments, interpretation of reports for insulin pumps, and use, functions, of continuous glucose monitoring equipment and interpretation of reports for continuous glucose monitors

6. Order appropriate diagnosis tests – laboratory, radiology, nuclear medicine, continuous glucose monitoring

7. Evaluate endocrinology patients’ medical history, physical exam findings, and diagnostic/laboratory data

8. Formulate endocrinology care plans using established guidelines from the Endocrine Society, ACE, ATA, other sources as appropriate, and under the direction of an endocrinologist

9. Additional areas of care may be assigned (thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, gender affirming care, and other endocrinology disorders)

10. Educates patients and families and helps them understand issues related to physical and emotional health and promotes wellness.

11. Maintains accurate and complete patient records in compliance with organizational policy

12. Refers patients to specialty services when appropriate.

13. Provides professional medical services within the scope of training and responsibility, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies.

14. Support physicians with office clinical responsibilities.

15. Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
