Specific dates in October that need to be covered
- Schedule is varied - days and nights. 8a-6p or 1p-1a
- ED coverage
- Reason for coverage: provider shortage
- 80% of total hospital admissions received from ED
- 17% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day
- 2% of ED patients transferred per day
- 27 beds
- 8 ED physicians in group
- No fast track in ED
- 90 patients per day
- All ages - pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric
- EMR: Cerner
- Level 4 Trauma
- ED staff responds to house codes - there are hospitalists 24/7, ED doctors respond to codes. PA's do not
- Deliveries are sent directly to Labor and Delivery, not received in ED
- ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising paramedics/ambulance by radio
- 24-hour availability for Radiology, Laboratory, OR, Anesthesia
- Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho
- Description of consultants: Radiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Hem/Onc, Psychiatrist
- APP will be working autonomously
- Supervising physician present during the assignment
- Will accept new grads
- Will pay for travel - flight, hotel, rental car OR mileage
