This emergency medicine advanced practice clinician (APC) fellowship is an intense 18-month postgraduate program that combines didactic and clinical training to prepare the APC to be a skilled partner in the delivery of quality patient care in Tri-City Medical Center's emergency department (ED) and will provide the APC with the foundational skills and knowledge required for a successful career in emergency medicine. The TeamHealth at Tri-City Medical Center Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Clinician Fellowship was created in 2013 for physician assistants in response to a rapidly increasing need for emergency medicine specialty trained APCs. The fellowship program is designed for new/recent graduate APCs with a desire to gain advanced emergency medicine training. Fellows will work an average of 15 ED shifts per month as a ?training? APC and will gradually gain responsibility and autonomy. All shifts will be worked under the supervision of a board-certified/board eligible emergency medicine physician.
