Physician Assistant / Nurse Practioner

Overview:
White Memorial Medical Center (WMMC) is a 353 bed community, teaching hospital, located in East Los Angeles. As one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the area, WMMC provides treatment to 60,000 patients annually. The department has 28 beds, and a designated Fast Track area. The ED has 52 hours of physician coverage and 34 hours of Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) coverage daily with some double coverage and productivity based compensation. Here are some facts about WMMC:
- 10 & 12 hour shifts
- On call services: FM/IM, Peds, OB/GYN, Surgery, Ortho, ICU, Cardiology
- Excellent ED Nurses, Techs, and ancillary staff
- STEMI certified
- Stroke Center
- Bedside Ultrasound
- Cardiothoracic Surgery program
- World Class Electrophysiology program
Requirements:
- California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
- DEA License with California registration
- Board Certification (NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC)
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
- 2 years of ER experience

Compensation:
Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) are employees of VEP. They receive an hourly base rate and an opportunity to earn productivity compensation at specific sites. APCs are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, vision, dental, and life insurance, profit sharing, 401k, CME and license allowances.
