Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide emergency department coverage in Fredericksburg, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced advanced practice provider to join a collaborative emergency medicine team.

Position

• Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Locums coverage
• Ongoing need
• ASAP start

Emergency Department

• 15,000+ annual ED visits
• Approximately 41–43 patients/day
• 8-bed ED, expanding to 12 beds
• Level IV Trauma Center
• 24-hour physician coverage
• Established APP coverage
• Meditech Expanse EMR
• Broad mix of adult and pediatric emergency cases

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling
• Day and/or night shifts
• Exact shift times to be confirmed
• No call

Clinical Support

• 24/7 physician coverage
• Work alongside physicians and other clinical staff
• Established emergency medicine team
• APP support within the ED

Requirements

• NP or PA
• Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Active Texas license
• Current DEA
• Current ACLS/PALS as applicable
• Clean clinical file
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges

Compensation

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• 100% of travel expenses reimbursed on top of rate
• Travel reimbursement may include airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage, tolls, parking and/or rideshare

Facility

• Community hospital with approximately 84 inpatient beds
• ED expansion/renovation underway
• Located in Fredericksburg, TX, in the Texas Hill Country
