Job Responsibilities
Patient Population: All ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
Support Staff:24/7 MD support on site or within a 5‑minute drive
Another PA on site during mid‑shift
Backup Specialties: FM and ED physicians, Telehealth for cardiology, stroke, and Vel telemedicine
Transfers: In‑house ambulance and helipad to trauma center
Department: Critical Access ED, Level 4 Trauma
7 rooms total
2 trauma bays (capacity for up to 4 patients each)
EMR: Athena (clinic, limited use), Medhost, EDIS (primary) – training available
Hospital Size: 57 beds
Qualifications
License: MN license required
DEA: Required
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, ATLS or CALS
Certifications Preferred: PALS, APLS
Experience: Minimum 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience
Skills: Emergency ultrasound proficiency
Credentialing: 60–90 days
Working Hours
Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
Shift Details: Mids starting at Noon (8-, 9-, or 10-hour shifts available)
Schedule: Monday–Sunday
